100 Days 100 Ways to make a difference for Homeless Animals My daughter Faith Trezon 9 years (on right) and best friend Brianna Ashley 9 years (on left) "want to make a difference for Homeless Animals" by starting a C.A.R.E. fundraiser campaign at their school, all after Faith became inspired by the Pet Photos with Santa fundraiser held at Capeway Veterinary Hospital! Actually, this idea really started last summer when Faith held some lemonade stands (as many little girls do), but when asked what she wanted to do with the money she generated, she said "Momma I'm going to save my $27 for a homeless shelter." Well time passed and unfortunately, I took ill requiring several eye surgeries so she put the money aside. Then once I was able to drive again, the holidays arrived. I was then asked by my daughter to attend the annual Pet Photo with Santa at Capeway in Fairhaven. There Faith met one of the Veterinarians, (she has wanted become a veterinarian since 4 years old) and a representative for C.A.R.E. Anyway, Faith was so inspired that on that day, she decided she was going to "start a fundraiser just like Capeway!" Faith decided to invite her best friend to help her after visiting the shelter on Jan 14th. After leaving the shelter, they went door to door (top photo) and raised another $16 and right after started making a poster for C.A.R.E. to present the fundraiser idea to the principal at their school. They are going with the "100 days" theme that schools celebrate, starting on February 1st. They really shared alot of thought and came up with their own slogan! "100 Days 100 Ways to make a difference for Homeless Animals" Now how cute is that!
These two girls are driven by their own accord to make a difference and to help them I along with Brianna's parents wrote a letter asking for support in their cause to the Principal at Casimir Pulaski1097 Braley Rd. New Bedford,MA 02745 508-997-4511 ext. 2225 Now, here we are today, the school has supported them by hosting a cat/dog can food and cleaning supplies fundraiser for C.A.R.E from February 1st to February 17th. A proud mom, Corie Trezon
