Fee Structure

Fees are structured to support the most progressive medicine and surgery. However, we have no desire to extend anyone beyond his or her means or intentions. A written estimate of charges is available upon request. All accounts must be paid in full before an animal can be discharged. We do not do billing, but for your convenience we do accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Care Credit*.

www.carecredit.com – CareCredit is a flexible monthly payment plan that can be used by clients for their veterinary healthcare needs.  It has no interest plans and extended payment plans available with flexible payment terms.  The on-line application takes only minutes.

Prescription Refills

Federal law requires that we must examine your animal prior to prescribing or dispensing most medications. An annual examination and/or blood tests or other procedures may be required to refill most prescriptions. These requirements are for your pet’s safety…AND IT’S THE LAW. Your understanding in this matter is appreciated. If you have questions about refilling a prescription please do not hesitate to ask. For faster service, it is recommended to call ahead for prescription refills.

Capeway Veterinary Hospital passes on manufacturers’ promotions and/or rebates resulting in greater savings.  Please ask us about the latest promotions on Atopica, Heartgard, Interceptor, Advantage, Advantix, and Frontline!

Pharmaceutical manufacturers will only honor product guarantees when medications are prescribed by and purchased from the pet’s veterinarian.  Please ask us about the guarantees on Heartgard, Interceptor, Advantage, Advantix, Frontline, and all our prescription diets!

Any prescription medication purchased from our hospital has been inspected and approved by the FDA, and manufactured and packaged according to U.S. government regulations.

Our pharmacy is a vital and integral part of our practice.  It provides our clients and their pets with the latest technology, convenience, and the right medications – all at a competitive price.  Revenue from our pharmacy allows us to purchase the latest equipment and pay for our caring, dedicated staff of professionals.

Internet Pharmacies

Here at Capeway Veterinary Hospital, our clients always have the option of having a prescription filled at an Internet pharmacy.  However, because some Internet pharmacies have dubious business practices, we need a direct request from you with the name of the Internet pharmacy and what prescription drugs your pet needs.  One way to check an Internet pharmacy’s reputation is to look for the Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites (VIPPS) seal of approval.  VIPPS is a service of the National Association of Boards Pharmacy www.nabp.net and its seal of approval identifies those online pharmacies that are appropriately licensed to practice pharmacy via the Internet.

If the Internet pharmacy is a safe and ethical provider of pharmacy drugs we will ask you to give them our contact information.  They will fax the request to us for approval and then the order can be refilled and shipped to you.
