Capeway Veterinary Hospital understands that when pets are ill or injured, a quick diagnosis can be critical to the effectiveness of treatment. We have invested in a number of different advanced veterinary technologies. Our digital X-Ray and ultrasound technologies give our veterinarians diagnostic tools that increase the efficiency and accuracy of diagnosis.
Digital X-Ray
Our digital X-Ray technology allows our doctors to reduce the exposure to radiation for the pet being tested, as we typically need to take fewer images. The digital nature of this technology makes it possible to magnify and highlight areas of concern, and we have a much finer resolution so conditions that would previously have been difficult to detect are easily identified.
Because the images are digital, we can also easily send the X-Rays to specialists for expert consultation on challenging cases. Capeway Veterinary Hospital maintains an excellent relationship with specialty veterinarians so our clients always have access to the best diagnosis and treatment advice for their pets.
Veterinary Ultrasound
Capeway Veterinary Hospital’s ultrasound technology allows our veterinarians to obtain three-dimensional images of internal body structures. Our board-certified internal medicine specialist conducts the ultrasound and can use it to diagnose many conditions including:
- Internal tumors
- Foreign body obstruction
- Cardiac disease
- Renal disease
- Pancreatic disease
- Hepatic disease
- Adrenal disease
- Bladder disease
- Intestinal disease
Similar to digital X-Rays, since the ultrasound images are digital, we can consult with other specialists to ensure our clients have access to the best diagnosis and treatment advice for their pets.
If you believe our digital X-Ray or ultrasound technologies could benefit your pet, please contact our knowledgeable staff and veterinarians for a consultation appointment.
