Pet Grooming

In addition to our technicians offering nail trims, medicated baths, and soft paw applications during our regular office hours, Capeway Veterinary Hospital has a groomer who provides a variety of grooming packages for dogs and cats and is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & the 2nd Saturday of each month.

Grooming appointments at Capeway Veterinary Hospital can be scheduled by calling our client care specialists at (508) 992–0202. Our groomer will consult with you at your scheduled appointment time to discuss any special requests.

Grooming Appointment Requirements

All pets must be current on vaccinations and free of external and intestinal parasites in order to be groomed. If your pet is not vaccinated at the Capeway Veterinary Hospital, you must bring in proof of previous vaccinations within the past 12 months. We require dogs to be current on rabies, DHPP, and kennel cough vaccinations. Cats must be current on their rabies and DRC vaccines. This policy will be strictly enforced, both for your pet’s health and in the best interest of our other patients.

How Often Should My Pet be Groomed?

For short-haired dogs, we suggest a minimum of four baths each year. Dogs and cats with long hair or high-maintenance coats need attention every four to six weeks, particularly if they do not receive maintenance combing or brushing at home.
